LOGIS DOES IT FOR US!
At the Planning Institute of Australia's 2017 Victorian Awards for Excellence, Alexander Urbanism won one award and one commendation.  Both are for our work on Logis, the industrial estate developed by Development Victoria.  Alexander Urbanism has worked for Development Victoria on this project for five years, both as design assessor and rewriting the design controls.

Best Planning Ideas - Small Project
Award winners: Alexander Urbanism, Development Victoria and Plus Architecture

"The judging panel found this project to demonstrate clear principles for innovative planning in industrial areas.  The project offers novel approaches to engaging with a range of stakeholders and acts as a template for similar projects.  The development of templates and clear pathways for applications was considered to offer significant opportunities for future industrial developments in Victoria."

From Plan to Place
Commendation: Alexander Urbanism, Development Victoria and Plus Architecture

"The project demonstrates innovation in industrial site planning, and serves as an example for other landowners looking to regenerate land for industrial land use. The panel visited the park and noted that there was continuity in certain design elements, particularly fencing and landscaping that provided an overall positive contribution. The built form outcomes were also noted, having regard to the effectiveness of urban design controls. It was recognised that the planning process has resulted in a place that appears to be enjoyable to work within and provides a broader community benefit via the recreational facilities on site."

"This project demonstrates that with cross-sector collaboration and the proper implementation of controls industrial parks can result in positive contribution to broader community."
