Melbourne Metro

The Melbourne Metro is a proposed $8bn rail line through central Melbourne, running between Footscray and South Yarra, adding five new stations to Melbourne's already extensive passenger rail network.

Nathan Alexander assisted the Victorian Department of Transport to:
  • assess options for its vertical alignment along Swanston Street
  • evaluate real-estate development opportunities around the proposed stations
  • identify issues at ground level along the route
  • prepare conceptual plans for the Arden Urban Renewal area
  • resolve interface issues with Flinders Street Station.
